Limits to Growth
The world’s population is continuously increasing, while our terrestrial resource pool is dwindling or remaining static, which is leading to a collision between demand and supply. In this forum, we’ll be discussing the rapid replacement of terrestrial supplies with those obtained from other sources throughout our solar system. The initial goal of the Astrilis Project is to return 5 Billion Metric tons of supplies, annually to earth, by 2050.

Solar System as Common Property
The continuous competition for resources has resulted in the human race developing the territorial borders it maintains to the present moment. As we progress into the space surrounding us, there are no extent claims to contest, and no previous ownership to dispute. Hence, considering the remainder of the Solar System as a commons, and the equal property of us all, is something we can do, for the first time.

Many perceived obstacles are addressed within this forum, by bringing the extra-terrestrial properties of the different environments appropriately into consideration.

Space Elevators
Given the almost incredible amounts of mass that’s already available in space around us, converting it’s form and function into both the mid-station structures, and carbon fiber ribbons, required to provide elevators to space, is an inevitable optimization of our transportation methods. The aspects and details of Space Elevator implementations are discussed herein.
